- Lastly, a $25 gift card with a Wii system, and a $50 gift card with a 360 (possibly on the spring bundle.)
Man K-Mart came out of no where. They haven't had any sale items in a few months I think and then this stuff explodes. Everyone is throwing some good stuff out though, we will have to wait and see about the Amazon gold box, but those are usually always good. Also, Gamestop's yearly game-day sale is supposed to start on the 26th. The list didn't look very impressive to me (Of course the last 2 years I only found 2 games worth buying each time.) so I would just recommend popping in to check it out on Friday. Otherwise that's it, Spring break is probably soon for you, so now's the time to get some good deals and get some game-time in. Till next week.

July is going to be awesome Comic Con will be in full swing and apparently the Hobbit movies will begin soon. Ian Mckellan let go on his website that the movie will take a year to film and will start in July. The movies will be filmed back to back but the real question is, whose Bilbo? No one knows yet but they better figure it out soon July is just around the corner. Here's the quote.
THE HOBBIT's, two films, start shooting in New Zealand in July. Filming will take over a year. Casting in Los Angeles, New York City and London has started. The script too proceeds. The first draft is crammed with old and new friends, again on a quest in Middle Earth.
The director Guillermo del Toro is now living in Wellington, close to the Jacksons' and the studio in Miramar.

With all the stuff coming out for the sequel to Kane and Lynch a lot of movie news has been popping up. Today it has been reported that Jamie Foxx will be playing opposite Bruce Willis in the upcoming movie adaptation of the game. I'm not a guy that complains about Michael Clarke Duncan being Kingpin, I honestly thought he was the best person for the role. The reason Jamie Foxx is bad for this role is because he's Jamie Foxx and I would say he's bad for most roles. The guy does Collateral and Ray and then he does Stealth and Miami Vice, this means the guys agent is stupid or he is. Either way I'm not a Foxx fan and I hope this rumor isn't true.

I should really be texting Brian this story right about now, but I thought it would be funny to see how long it takes him to find it. Anyways, the previously overseas exclusive Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum will see stateside release sometime in May. The GOTY edition comes with 4 extra challenge maps and.... full 3D support. That's right, 3D. I mean you gotta wear the glasses. (Which confuses me since most nerds wear glasses... They need 3D glasses that you can clip on your regular ones), but I haven't heard of any other game supporting 3D yet. Anyways, if you haven't already bought this game then here is just another reason to.

I picked up Final Fantasy XIII last week at midnight and have been playing it on and off ever since. I just got to chapter 11 (out of 13). I have yet to finish the game, it has been difficult to find time with school and God of War coming out today. I'm going to give a few positive and negative impressions from what I have played and seen so far.
- This game is beautiful. Some of the smaller effects for spells, like water bubbles and ashes after water and fire, really provide a large amount of detail.
- I like the voice acting. It seems pretty solid at times, and hearing Fang and Vanille with australian accents is awesome.
- The first 10 chapters are pretty linear, but the progression of the events makes sense to me.
- The battle system is, in my opinion, one of the best I've seen in a FF title, or even an RPG. It's very fluid, and you must master the dynamics of it to be successful. There are fewer battles than in previous games, but they are longer, so you do not run through enemies like you did before. With the wrong paradigm selected, you will probably lose. Also, a few of the boss battles are epic, and some of the better fights I've come across recently.
- It is hard to see all the different surroundings that make up Cocoon because of the behind the back camera view. This made it hard for me to really appreciate the setting that the story was taking place. I couldn't get a feel for the culture of the world the characters are living in.
I would still recommend picking this up if you haven't already. Let us hear what you think about the game.

- The first bit of Marvel news is that the upcoming Spider-Man reboot will be based off the Ultimate series. I have read a bit of the Ultimate series but I was never a huge fan, it's not that it was bad I just didn't get into it. I think that starting completely new is a good thing so basing it off of this and not Amazing Spider-Man may be a good idea, only time will tell.
-Second is Ed Norton not being completely against the idea of appearing in the Avengers movie or maybe even a Hulk sequel. If you remember there was a lot of tension between Norton and one of the people working on the movie but that is all over, here is a quip.
"...There's always been an agenda I think to unspool a lot of the Marvel Universe and then come back... I think they've got a lot of new stuff that they're rolling out and then I think at some point they're going to figure out how they want to get around to 'Avengers.'"
"The main guy I had a beef with there left anyways, as always happens," he admitted. "As David Mamet said, 'Just wait 'em out cause they'll be gone, and you'll still be there.'"
