Free Game/Free Gamerpoints

    It's been up/free for a few days (I don't know if it's free permanently, so download it soon), but on the XBOX Live Arcade (XBLA) there is a free game called "Doritos: Dash Of Destruction". I believe there was a contest awhile back and the winner got their game on XBLA. The game is short, easy, slightly fun. Not really a point in reviewing it, I beat it in maybe 20 minutes. The real bonus here though is that you can pad your gamerscore with 200 free points if you wish, in the 20 minutes I played the game, I got all 200 gamerpoints. So if you want to look cooler to everyone on your friends list, download and earn those free points.

Club Nintendo

    For years now, Nintendo has had a reward program set up in Japan, which rewards you for buying more Nintendo stuff. (From Wikipedia:) "The Japanese Club Nintendo offers rewards such as Wii Remotes with television remote control functionality, exclusive and unreleased games such as Tingle's Balloon Fight DS and Exclamation Warriors Sakeburein, game soundtrack CDs and exclusive accessories such as a Super Famicom style Classic Controller for the Wii." Here's how it works, remember whenever you buy a Wii game (that's made by Nintendo) and it comes with a 14 digit code inside on a piece of paper? That is now your code to earn points for our Club Nintendo. If you had an old My Nintendo account I guess you can migrate it over, including all your old Gamecube games with code. I tried for twenty minutes and was unable to though, IGN said the site has been really buggy since going online about 24 hours ago. Give it a shot if you want, free stuff is awesome.

Wolverine Trailer

    Okay first of all everyone knows we're a kid friendly site usually and that I for one never swear on here. BUT HOLY FUCK, they show Wolverine's claws come out the first time just like in the original origin book. I am so excited for this movie now I really hope it doesn't Spider-Man 3 on all of us. X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes out May 1st, 2009 and this nerd can not wait.

New Crow Re-Imagining

    Why do they do this seriously? This remake/reinvention crap is getting out of control. The crow is only fourteen years old and it looks good. Does it really warrant a remake? I don't think so, its getting really bad. [REC] came out last year and Quarantine is a remake of that, pointless. Anyways this movie will be terrible and I will not go see it, sorry to rant it just needed to be said.

More Harry Potter Pictures

    Here are some pictures that I believe are new but who knows. There are so many pictures floating around the internet there is no way to know if the pictures are new or not. We have some pictures of Ron eating before Quidditch, some set pictures, and a picture of young Voldemort that isn't new. I'm putting the picture of young Voldemort up because its pretty creepy.

    The Spike Video Game Awards Show is only good for one thing, the exclusive trailers they show and this year was awesome.....     
    The GTA IV expansion "The Lost and the Damned" debuted
   

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves had another trailer.
    And the biggest of all God of War III was shown in what appears to be in game graphics.
Honorable Mentions... Mafia II, Gears of War 2 Map Pack, Terminator: Salvation, Fight Night: Round 4, Brutal Legend, The Watchmen.

Banjo-Kazooie (XBLA)

    So continues the exploitation of older games on the newer download services. In this case, I am completely okay with it. If you never played this game on N64, it was an excellent game, back in the hay day of Rare. From what I remember, not much has changed. I read that the graphics got a minor update (they did look a bit nicer then I remember) and they had to remove (obviously) some of the references to Nintendo, but otherwise, same old game. If you hate platformers, I would recommend you think this one over, it is the excellence of platforming, probably only surpassed by Super Mario 64. There are 9 levels to complete, and a quiz show which makes you think you've won the game. It is a bit longer then most games if you go after everything (I got all 900 notes and 100 jiggies in about 14 hours.) If your into platforming, definitely get this. If your not into platforming, give it a try at a friends house, it is that good. I'm almost tempted to play through it again, but I'm going to just wait for Banjo Tooie on XBLA arcade next year. If only rare still put out products like this...

Overall: 8.5

Pros:
- Excellent, Excellent, Excellent platformer. Way up on the list of all time platformers.
- Lots of different moves to master, and each level has a different theme.
- Great game for people who love to do everything, lots of things to collect, secrets to find, etc.

Cons:
- The camera, so many times I ran the wrong way or did something stupid because the camera would change views on it's own. The game would of gotten a higher score if it was not for this.
- The music, it's okay the first time through, but when I was spending an hour plus per level, it got old.
- Grunty saying random facts about herself every couple of mintues when your not in a level. It helps out later on, but it still is annoying.

Economy 1, Midway 0

    This has to be every nerds dream, buy a video game company for $100,000. Well that is if you got the guts to take over Midway's $70 million dollar debt in the deal. I feel bad for Midway. They haven't been up to anything special lately (I haven't played MK vs DC so I dunno about that) but they did have their time back in the day. While the rest of America falls apart, I was hoping it would not find it's way into the video game sector. I don't know if it can get any worse considering the highest their stock ever was is $23.65 in 2005, down to 29 cents yesterday morning. In this deal though the new majority owner (he only gets 87% of the company) only paid about .0012 cents per share. He got the hook up. Here's to hoping though that a video game company does not go under.

Gambit

    So the first official picture of Gambit has hit the net and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. What I mean by that is I think that Gambit is a terrible character who is horribly overrated and in the picture this guy looks like an idiot. I have seen the trailer for the movie and it looks pretty good and they did and excellent job casting Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Here you go.
