Here are a few things I've been meaning to get around to, but have not been feeling so good...
"Would you guys close your eyes? I have a surprise for you."
A teenager in Elyria, OH was finally (this took place almost a year and a half ago.) sentenced for murdering his mother, and trying to murder his father because they would not let him play his copy of Halo 3. Luckily the judge was smart enough to know that video games did not make the boy do this, and sentenced him accordingly.
"WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior."
This is the opinion of Congressman Joe Baca of California, who is trying to get this warning placed on any T or M (and I guess AO... but when was the last time one of those came out?) game sold in the country. I would imagine that this will not happen since there is no scientific proof to his claim, but I will not be that surprised if it happens.
Planning on buying any 2K Games?
Planning on buying the following games? Well here is ten bucks off. Valid on: Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution (360, PS3), NBA 2K9 (X360, PS3, PC), NHL 2K9 (Xbox, PS3, Wii), Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization (PC), BioShock (PS3), Carnival Games (Wii, DS), Carnival Games Mini Golf (Wii), and Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Snow Princess (Wii, DS).
"Circuit City Stores, Inc. to Liquidate"
In the current economic climate, your not all that surprised are you? One side of me does not care because I never really shop there (They do have some crazy sales some times, and some good clearance.) But the part of me that cares is the part which knows that less competition means worse things for the consumers. And the fact that so many more people are losing their jobs.
