Iron Man 2

    The first image from the upcoming Iron Man movie is out and about on the interweb. It doesn't tell you much but it does get me a little hyped up for this movie. I really enjoyed the first one and I think Favreau is taking the franchise in a great direction. Here it is, nothing spectacular but it is news.

Complete DVD Sets of Transformers G1 and G.I. Joe due at SDCC

    Just in time to coincide with the new Transformers movie Revenge of the Fallen and the G.I. Joe movie, we're going to see DVD releases of the Complete Transformers G1 and G.I. Joe. If you can't make it to their premiere at the San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26) then the sets will go on sale online before being released to regular retail some time in the future. I couldn't find any pricing or pictures, but the Transformers set is supposed to come in a box modeled after the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. The G.I. Joe set will come in some kind of Footlocker, but will also only contain episodes that were released before the animated movie. In any event, pretty sweet tie in's to the upcoming movies. Superheroes are real?

    I was listening to the radio this morning, and they were talking about people who go around acting like superheroes. Maybe not in the sense of the people in the comic books, but still. Turns out San Diego has their own super hero. Mr. Extreme. Apparently though instead of fighting crime, he helps the homeless and does some other little menial tasks. Turns out that he's not the only person out there. The newspaper said that he is in a registered super hero network of people who do the same "vigilante" work around the world. People are some crazy fools. Don't laugh to much at his costume, he says it's a work in progress still and he pays for it himself. Konami cancels Six Days in Fallujah.

    It's not very often that you publicly hear of a game getting canceled, but that was the case today when Konami announced that it would be canceling Six Days In Fallujah. The company came under a lot of criticism for trying to make a game about the War in Iraq. Apparently that was one of the biggest fights of the war so far, and coupled with Atomic Games (makers of Close Combat, but apparently not Close Combat: First to Fight) and former Marines, they wanted to throw us a modern war game. A bunch of veterans got pissed, people complained, blah blah, I'm surprised that Konami folded. I understand the wounds are still fresh for these people. So my note to you Konami, just wait till the war has been over for 30 years... so let's guess 30 years from never, and then you can make your game.     Why is everyone calling this guy Adam west when his name is Adam We? Oh well. This video is a Funny or Die which means if you don't laugh Adam We will die so laugh. I thought it was pretty funny.

Deadrising 2

    The first Dead Rising was great game and alot of fun this game looks like its going to kick the first ones ass. There is a double sided chainsaw weapon that is awesome. I was a big fan of the lawn mower in the first one because you just got to annihilate people but a two sided chainsaw rules all.

Video game deals of the week 4/26-5/2

    What up!? So, I personally tried to get this week off to a good start but got shot down...

Best Buy
- The talk of the town is the $9.99 video game sale going on there this week. Everything is gone by now though I would imagine. There are too many titles to list (100) and everything I searched for online was sold out. I went this morning 30 minutes before the store opened and there was a bunch of people waiting for them to open. They were already (stock varied by location) out of two of the three games I wanted. Good for my wallet. I doubt they will restock but it's always worth a peek.
- Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars for the DS is $19.99 this week.

- Target is giving away 2 free blu rays with the purchase of a PS3

- Toys R Us has all $29.99 or higher Wii games Buy 1 Get 1 $20 off. Also all PS2 games are 30% off.

- Deep Discount is having a sale on PS3/PS2/PSP games. (Even though the only PS3 game I noticed was Resistance, but for $18.98 you can't complain to much.)

    So that's it again. Best Buy stole everyone's thunder.  Keep an eye out next week at Gamestop, any remaining stock from their game days sale is supposed to get an additional markdown. On the 2nd. Till next week. (deals from www.cheapassgamer.com)

Kick Ass

    This is a picture of Hit Girl from the upcoming Kick Ass movie. If you read this site......no one does...... but if you do you will know I don't like the idea of this becoming a movie. Now this picture of Hit Girl has hit the interweb and I still don't like it. She doesn't look young enough in my opinion and I still don't think its going to work. Lamesville.
