First off happy holiday merry xmas etc to everyone. All of us here at Sly Comics have been with our families and that has limited our time to scour the internet for things to show you. Also we had to watch the Chargers secure home field advantage. Anyways. Sorry I think a few deals might of started yesterday but I was busy soaking in my xmas stuff so I overlooked them. Also my new years resolution is to stop buying video games (not entirely, but pretty much entirely.) but do not worry I will still give you the low down every week.
- Kmart has the following for $44.99: Avatar, Assassin's Creed II, The Saboteur, Dragon Age Origins, Brutal Legend, Need for Speed Shift.
- Don't forget that XBL is running daily deals till 12/31 and The Maw is only 400 points until 1/3/2010
- On PSN there is some EA stuff that is 30% off. List of games. The sale is good through 1/2/2010 and I believe some of the sale prices are available on Amazon if you want to go that route.
- Sega is following in the same boat. 40% off select items on the PSN store. (List) and 40% off their most popular Wii games on the Virtual Console (List). The Wii sale is valid until 1/6/2010 and the PSN sale is valid till 1/7/2010.
- Gamestop is running a promotion where you trade any game on this list and they will give you $20 off anything in the store. (Even gift cards.) Sort of a weird deal, but it has some older games on the list so you can easily work this out in your favor.
Best Buy
- $19.99 for Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS3), Rock Band 2 (360), Guitar Hero Smash Hits, Fight Night Round 4, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Bionic Commando.
- $39.99 for Dragon Age: Origins (PS3), Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (PS3), Left 4 Dead 2 (360), Assassin's Creed II (360), New Super Mario Bros Wii (Wii), Nerf: N-Strike Elite w/Scope. (Wii), UFC Undisputed 2009, Batman Arkham Asylum, Tekken 6, Band Hero, Prototype, Brutal Legend, Lego Rockband.
Target
- $39 for Mario Kart Wii, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (Both), Madden 10, NBA 2K10, Avatar
- Lego Rock band for $29.99
- They also advertise a large clearance on games. They do this after every xmas to make room for new product, just check your local target to see what they are getting rid of.
And that's it. I'm glad to see Sega and EA trying to push some download only sales with the discounts. I can easily see the next generation of consoles going to download only and it scares me the way the prices will wind up fixed. But this is a good sign in my opinion. You gotta cut everyone some breaks if you want to sell their stuff. :)
