It looks like we have our new Peter Parker and his name is Logan Lerman. Lerman has been in a few films with the two most recent being Percy Jackson & the Olympians: the Lighting thief and Gamer. I never thought of this guy being cast as Parker but for some reason I'm really glad he will be filling the suit of one of my favorite super heroes. I have yet to see Percy Jackson but I genuinely liked Gamer and thought he was fairly good in it. The casting comes as no surprise because Lerman is only 18 and the new Spider-Man movie is going to take place mostly in High School dealing with the early years of the character. Let's hope we don't have to watch a whole new origin story since the first movie in the franchise only came out in 2002.

Honestly, I think this kid has the potential to be the perfect fit. And an angsty, emotional teenage Peter Parker who's still learning things the hard way seems like he'd be more fun to watch than the guy who just seems to have bad luck but generally seems to have a grasp on things.
