Game Quick Hits
Hey all you gamers and gamerettes, lets see what items popped up today in the gaming world.
- A video of Marvel vs Capcom 3's final boss fight can be found here. If you want it to be a surprise then don't watch it, but it's a doozy.
- Reviews for Dead Space 2 can be found here and here, on IGN and 1up respectively. I've finished it twice already and would give it a B+/A-. I'll go through it one more time on zealot difficulty, but I'm not messing with the hardcore setting. No checkpoints and 3 saves the whole game? No thanks. I need to play the other 3 Dead Space games I have, or Red Dead, or GTA IV, or Fallout, or...
- A new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII can be found here, and it looks great, but I'm biased because I love Final Fantasy.
- And speaking of more Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced a week or so ago. A teaser trailer for the game is below. I want this game. That is all.

Cap Pictures

The Man of Steel is Cast
Other people don't work on the weekends but you guys have posts from everyone this weekend including the long lost Brian, Brian is our video game editor if you didn't know. Now for the real news, it looks like we have a new Man of Steel and his name is Henry Cavill. I'm not familiar with the guy but he is in The Tudors which is also something I'm not familiar with. Either way the guy is cast and Zach Snyder is still the director. I don't like Superman at all so I won't be seeing this but it is news so there you go.

Sony's NGP (Next Generation Portable)
Ah Sunday, what a great day to get back on the posting horse. That said, I'm sure most of you have already heard of Sony's new handheld system that was introduced Thursday morning in Japan (Wednesday night in the States). Tentatively, it's name is the Next Generation Portable, but hopefully that will change. The NGP is quite a device, sporting a 5-inch OLED touchscreen, a rear multi-touch pad, dual analog sticks, 3G, front and rear-facing cameras, Wi-Fi and Sixaxis motion control. Gone is the sliding screen from the PSP Go and UMD media. We know that it will come out in 2011, and no price is known at this point, although analysts have guessed at a starting price of between $300 and $400. A new user interface branded LiveArea will be used, apparently ditching the XMB used on the original PSP and the PS3. Notable titles that will appear on NGP are Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, Littlebigplanet, Call of Duty, and Wipeout. Check out the screenshots from Sony's press conference. This is quite a sexy piece of equipment. Let us know what you think if you have any opinions or thoughts.

Give Away
Hey there everyone how's your weekend starting out? Well all of us here at Sly Comics are throwing some ideas around the office on a Saturday morning and one of the ideas is a give away. Will Ferrell on the Office
We all know that Steve Carrell will be leaving the Office at the end of this season and not returning but the end for Carrell is actually coming four episodes early. There is still no word on who will replace Carrell on a permanent basis or if there will even a show next year but we do have a temporary replacement, Will Ferrell. Ferrell will be joining the Office for a four part story arch, he will be another branch manager who will be helping with the transition. The Office has had its ups and downs for the last few seasons but some new blood may do it some good and Ferrell as a temp sounds good. I will be curious to see how this goes and see who they replace Carrell with permanently.

Sorry but More Spidey Stuff
I'm sorry if you guys are getting a little sick of our Spider-Man coverage but he is one of my all time favorite characters and this is my domain so hah. We have some new pictures and as you can see his eyes are white and not red like we previously saw. We also have some pictures of him swinging around and they look pretty cool. I'm cautiously optimistic about the reboot leaning towards excited, let me know what you guys think.
