Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD

    Tony Hawk was at the Spike VGA's on Saturday and threw out that they were going to be remaking THPS, and today Activision released a trailer for it. Details are scarce still but it is supposedly going to offer the same type of game play that you used to know and love. They are going to add newer skater's to the mix and instead of just being a straight remake of the original it is going to combine levels from the first 2 games. Expect it to be released digitally, Summer of 2012, for around $15.

MIB 3 Trailer

    I like most people absolutely love the first MIB and can't stand the second one, it's good for a few laughs but overall the second one was terrible. Just because a sequel is bad doesn't mean the sequel to the sequel will be bad right? It happens in video games all the time, you get a great initial game, sequel sucks, developer learns from their mistakes and puts out another great product. This is what I'm hoping for in MIB 3, the trailer is actually pretty good, at least I enjoyed it. The movie comes out May 25th and I'm sure will be heavily promoted over the next few months. Video game deals for 12/11-12/17

    Good afternoon all. This week seems like it's going to be big on pushing gift cards with consoles. Not a bad thing if you need a console, but what about all of us that do not need one? Well there's a few game deals for you guys too. Either way, let's see what we have.

Dark Knight Rises Poster

    It looks like today is the day for awesome movie posters, we finally have an official Dark Knight Rises poster. There are some amazing fan made ones out there, I wasn't ready to believe this one but it is official. This thing is all around awesome, check it out.

 

    I think I like every other Batman fan will be crapping his pant's if Bane does what I think he may do in this movie. If you know what I'm talking about keep it to yourself, there are a lot of people who don't and we wouldn't want to spoil anything.

Spider-Man Poster

    I know that the new Spider-Man movie isn't the movie everyone is most excited about in July, is there anyone comic fan or not that doesn't want to see the Dark Knight Rises? Well the Spider-Man reboot is coming out at the beginning of July so you will have a few weeks to see it before Batman comes and I think it's going to be good as well. We haven't seen anything other than some screen shots and a few other things but it looks great, the fact that they actually have people swinging through the air is amazing. Well the first poster came out, I know it is just a poster but it looks incredible. Check it out, absorb it, chew it, and take a moment to let us know what you think about this poster.

A look back at Bethesda Software.

    In honor of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim being the top rated game (on Metacritic) for November, I wanted to take a look at the other work that Bethesda has done for us. You would think that they just spend all their time on the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series' which is for the most part true, but your probably forgetting that they own Id software, so a few of their newer titles were developed by them. In either event, we at Sly Comics want to know what some of these games mean to you. Good memories, fun times, severe emotionally crippling anger? Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure

    Video surfaced today of a new Kinect game being made featuring the characters from 5 different Pixar movies. I can not find any details besides the games release date is March 20, 2012 and that it will features scenarios from The Incredibles, Cars, Toy Story, Ratatouille, and Up. All of us here are big fans of Pixar studios so this will definitely be something to look forward to. Here is the aforementioned trailer and we will throw you any more details as they emerge.

RIP Jerry Robinson

    Jerry Robinson who most people know as the creative force behind the Joker has passed away at 89. Robinson was hired when he was 17 to bob Bob Kane to do the inking for Batman and would do that for several years. He is not only the creator of the Joker but the co creator of Robin, he was also a well respected comic historian. I met Robinson a few months ago at Comic Con, he was extremely kind and you could tell even at his age he still and a passion for comics and it's fan base, he will be missed.

Miyamoto stepping down at Nintendo

Thursday Update: A spokesperson for Nintendo said the idea of Miyamoto stepping down were greatly exaggerated and that no such thing will be happening. Miyamoto does stand by his statement of wanting to work on smaller projects, in hopes of getting newer development members ready for when he does retire.

    Let's just be clear, he is still going to work for Nintendo, he is just not going to be in charge of all their development companies anymore. This is a move that is actually quite shocking, seeing as this is the man that brought us Mario Bros and Zelda. The move could pan out in  a few directions. The easiest of them being that the people who he mentored and that he trusts with his characters keep doing what Nintendo has always done. Or they could royally mess things up (like I'm imagining will happen with Apple at some point.) Or Miyamoto could go back to his roots of development and create something new/awesome since he won't have all those other things to worry about. He does plan to continue helping with smaller development projects, so we will see where he will lead us to.
