3 Minutes of The Walking Dead

    We are just about a week away from The Walking Dead coming back on the tube and I couldn't be more excited. I don't want to give too much away because I know some people out there still haven't caught up to where the series is. If you are one of those people who hasn't caught up I would suggest you not watch the video coming up, if you know whats going on make sure you watch because its good. We also have some possible casting news, John Hawkes who I will always remember as the store clerk in From Dusk til Dawn is in the running to play the Governor. By the looks of him I think he would be an excellent choice but thats just my opinion, if you are on the Danny Trejo train the guys is far too old and I doubt he would have time.

Teaser Trailers for Super Bowl Ad's

    The day has come where we have teaser's for Super Bowl ad's, the thought of this is just terrible but thats the world we live in. I have seen this quick teaser while surfing the vast interweb amd I can no longer ignore it, why can't I ignore it you say? It's awesome thats why, check it out.

 

Apparently Ferris Bueller now sells Hondas, apparently there will be several scenes that are recreated airing during the game. Even if you don't like football I'm sure you still watch due to the commercials, so keep an eye out for these.

Details from Nintendo's Investor Meeting

    Nintendo President had a bunch of interesting information for investors a meeting held today. Most of the information is just snippets but there is a lot. They are looking to expand upon Streetpass and Spotpass features of the 3DS. They also understand that they need to expand on their digital business since 60% of all 3DS systems (in Japan and America) have connected to the internet. Use of Nintendo Direct to help promote their products more is also one of the plans. To have you be able to maybe watch video preview then get a link to the demo. The 3DS is also in the planning stages of Asia. There is mention of the Wii U also. Such as it will be released in the next fiscal year, so some time after March. More specifically sometime between E3 and the end of the year, with more details of the final product at E3 this year. He says they learned their lesson with the 3DS launch and that Japan, America, Europe, and Australia will all have the new system by years end. The final topic of the meeting was the announcement of the Nintendo Network. It seems like it will be how Live and PSN are where you would have one account covering all games. The brief details given only state that network will offer "competitions and communication among users, as well as the sales of digital content, will be covered within the Nintendo Network". The network is supposed to cover the Wii U and 3DS, so hopefully we will get more details about that on. THQ to stop making kid's game.

    The company announced today via press release that they will be leaving the "kids' licensed video games" business to focus more on their core franchises and digital endeavors. This seems a bit strange to me since I figured they made a good amount of cash off of those games, but I guess not. They say that they have 5 internal development studios who are currently working on the likes of UFC Undisputed 3, Darksiders II, Company of Heroes, inSANE, Saints Row, Warhammer 40,000, and another untitled game. They mention that one of the factors in this decision is the 3.8 million copies that have sold of Saints Row: The Third because of their new focus and strategies. Hopefully this move works out in the best for them.

DC Logo

    This has been floating around for a few days but I didn't really want to write anything about it, reason being is DC kind of sucks. Yeah they have Nolan directed Batmans and an amazing Batman game but those aren't really DC's, they own the character but Rocksteady and Nolan created the other two. When it comes to comics DC will always be behind Marvel, the only good character DC has is Batman and there really isn't an argument to be made otherwise. So the new DC logo is lame, they are going to have different versions for different books, all still lame.

Jeff Who Lives at Home

    Countless amounts of crappy movies come out all the time, Underworld 17 came out today with an actress who was to cool to star in the previous one but whose career has taken a dive. Even when good movies come out they sometimes get overlooked because Michael Bay has made a new explosion and we wall have to go see it in slow motion. Well I can't let that happen when I see something that may be special and that is what "Jeff Who Lives at Home" looks like. It may not be as low key as some movies, it does have Jason Segel, Ed Helms, and Susan Sarandon in it so it does have some star power but it seems like something that may fly under the radar. The synopsis is this:

"On his way to the store to buy wood glue, Jeff looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life… and if he’s lucky, pick up the wood glue as well."

    This looks like it could be a great heartfelt comedy along the lines of Juno or Dan in Real Life. Here is the trailer for the movie, let us know what you guys think.
