I cant remember if it was on Saturday but i remember once a week my whole family would get together and all us kids would watch The bugs bunny and tweety show.. thats my favorite cartoon because it just reminds me of the good times i had with my cousins

JD Blosser

I have a hard time remembering what was on Saturday mornings now, but one I really remember on Saturdays was Dungeons and Dragons.

@mysticfail

Caitlin

Probably the old X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons. I remember getting up Saturday morning to watch those on Fox Kids or whatever it was called.

OnyxPrimal

My favs from the 80s were the D&D Cartoon, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. New episodes of Transformers were on Saturday morning also. I also remember a show Called Lazer Tag Academy (based very loosely on the Toy gun). It was crap, but I loved it. :)

Nicole Harless

Xmen!!

AkariK

I don't remember which ones I got up early on Saturday for, but I do remember that the ones I watched on weekdays were Ronin Warriors (usually only the last half of the episode depending when I woke up) and Sailor Moon (most of the episode, and I taped as many as I could).

I also remember watching Transformers Beast Wars early morning before summer school. There was also some WILDCATS mixed in...

Man, I miss those shows. Just remembering them makes me want to go back and see if I can find them again. Well, not Transformers though, Beast Wars wasn't THAT great.

Michael Duong

As a kid my favorite saturday cartoon was when toonami on cartoon network showed those anime the one I rememberand was my favorite was Tenchi Muyo. If that wasn't on I'd probably search for tom and jerry.

Hestar69

Growing up my Favorite cartoon was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.I used to love waking up,having my bowl of lucky charms and hearing that theme song come up.It would pump me up so much and with the sugar high from my lucky charms I would be wide awake and ready to see what the turtles were gonna do this week.

Even when the turtles went off the air I would put in the BK ninja turtles VHS' and watch this Saturday morning as I loved the show way too much and we didn't have internet or a cable box that could record tv show's back then and it's all I had of the turtles left :P.

Nick Dragan

My favorite Saturday morning cartoon was the X-Men. I would watch them with my dad and his friend.

Gram

There were a ton of awesome cartoons I watched as a kid. I was a big fan of all of the Disney Afternoons line of programming (Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Goof Troop, and Bonkers) but that was obviously during afternoons. Same with Gummi Bears. I also watched Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures every day after school. I looked forward to it every day. Also, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was HUGE for me when I was young. I had a full TMNT bedspread and tons of action figures and cars.
The problem is I don't remember if any of these shows came on Saturday mornings.

I do remember watching Pirates of the Dark Water and Doug on Saturday mornings. I always liked Doug, even the newer version where Roger was rich and Doug had an extra hair. He was very relatable.

Puppet Master

Had to be X-Men I still remember getting up to watch it on Fox every week or at least trying to haha.

BadderNinja

Yep, X-men on Fox was also my favourite.

FSNsaber

TMNT, loved that show!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Gargoyles were two of my favorites

My favorite was The Littles. Sometimes I would use a VCR to record it when I had soccer practice.

Aznxchunky

my favorite cartoon was always x-men that opening tune still plays in my head once in a while. I would wake up and record every episode on vhs every saturday morning.

T

loved Ghostbusters cartoon

Austin Baroudi

My favorite was the animaniacs cause their zany to the max :P I can't believe no one mentioned this show. It was great!

Pat

Transformers: Beast Wars

Bryan_0906

I remember watching Gargoyles as a kid, cartoons were worth tuning into regularly back then. Now it's all just crap.

Roberto

My favorite Saturday morning cartoon? That is a difficult decision. I used to watch so many. The oldest one would be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I still have my collection of figurines. I recall that I'd either sleep in or forget to watch it most of the time. I'm having difficulty remembering if certain cartoons were aired on Saturdays. I know I'm not quite fulfilling the requirement of answering a SINGLE favorite, but hopefully listing some favorites will do. The Weekenders, Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Pokemon, and Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, to name a few.

Ciara Weaver

Oh wow! There was so many but one of my favs to watch back in 86' was the Snorks & Pee-Wee's Playhouse! Voltron was another fav of mine, my brother & I used to sit in front of the TV and battle our figurines while we watched the show. Also, can you believe I still have my original Rainbow Bright & her dog? When I used to work at the museum where I live, we did an 80's theme & displayed my toys :)
