At heart the game seems like it is trying to be some kind of platform party game. It supports up to four players and offers many parts that require cooperation, but also parts that require you to go against each other. At any point you can beat the other players up and steal their money if you feel like, but the only time you are pitted against each other is via mini-games on each level. The mini-games are not mandatory though. There are tons of variations in the games and the winner gets a bonus of coins which is nice. The coins allow you to purchase new levels (all six levels are not unlocked when you begin playing) and new costumes. Each world offers 5 costumes and there are the costumes for other Disney Characters as well. You have to beat a level to even get the ability to purchase a costume though, so be wary.
This is a very basic game at heart. It plays like a platformer, requires some teamwork, and requires you to beat up a bunch of bad guys. Each level (each world is split into 3 parts and each part has 3 levels) offers 3 collectables to find, and a star which will power up your character. Each character can be powered up to Level 4 so it does help increase your replay value to level up the other characters. I'd like to write more but that's really it. You play Disney themed levels with characters in costumes. You have to beat up a bunch of bad guys and at occasionally have boss fights to unlock new costumes for purchase.
Overall: 7/10. Not to say this game doesn't deserve more or less. There just isn't enough to warrant more or less. The game is very short, I spent a lot of time getting the collectables, so you could be it in less then the 9 hours we took. You can unlock more characters by beating all the levels twice, but after there. There is not really much to do. There is a new world in The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it does not come with any new trophies so if your adult your probably going to steer clear. If it's for your kids I'm sure they won't care. If your a big fan of Disney I would give it a shot, or if your a kid. But definitely do not try it out at full price.
