Guardians of the Galaxy, are you familiar with them? Well to be honest with you I'm not the most familiar with them either. Guardians started in 1969 but it seems that the Guardians movie will take more from the 2008 version of the comic. The current team consists of Star-Lord, Adam Warlock, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Phyla-Vell, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Mantis. Again, I have to be honest and say that I don't know who most of these guy are either. The reason for Guardians being put on the fast track comes down to two things, Nicole Perlman's script was so good that it go streamlined to the front. The second reason is the most recent Guardians had a lot to deal with Thanos, in fact the book was canceled and some of it was finished in the Thanos Imperative. It is thought that Guardians will come out in 2014 and lead in to Avengers 2, this seems like exactly a move Marvel would pull. Stay tuned through the next couple of weeks because I'm sure we will be seeing some interesting stuff at Comic Con.
