After weeks and weeks of rumors of which I didn't post (combination of being busy, lazy, and not thinking they were true), it has officially been announced the The Hobbit will be a trilogy. Some people are excited but I would peg most people as being upset and confused. Well I have to side with Peter Jackson, the guy gave us an amazing series with Lord of the Rings, there is now denying it. I know that The Hobbit is one book but with three movies you know you won't have as much cut out like LotR cough cough Tom Bombadil cough cough. Plus Jackson is using material that Tolkien himself had but was not in the book, you can argue as much as you want on this but Tolkien did write it. When it comes down to it I'm putting my faith in Peter Jackson, as a film maker he knows the material better than anyone. Plus we all have a movie to look forward to for the next few Decembers, you will definitely see me in line for all three.
