Patton Oswalt is one of my favorite comedians and I'm sure most of you who follow him know he is a huge nerd. I got online and saw these two videos that Patton Oswalt has done and they are very funny.
The first thing is a filibuster rant about Star Wars Episode VII and the Marvel Universe on Parks and Recreation. The video is very funny and it just shows how big of a nerd he actually is. I love his new idea. What do you think of his
The people over at EW.com made a poster
for his new movie idea.
The other thing Patton Oswalt did, was play the penguin for a College Humor skit. I thought the video was very funny. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Hey guys I have a couple new Iron Man 3 stuff for you all. First is the new poster and the second is the teaser to the Super Bowl trailer. I believe Robert mentioned this before, sometime last year, but isn’t it really dumb to have teasers for trailers. The movie comes out May 3, 2013.
What do you guys think about the poster? I really like it.
The Walking Dead is moving on from Glenn Mazzara to its third showrunner in three season, Scott Gimple. This isn't a guy coming out of nowhere, Gimple signed on in season two and has been Mazzaras number two this season. It is said that Mazzara had got in to disputes with several of the producers of the show, this includes executive producer and creator Robert Kirkman. There are also rumors of the show the show had been shutdown several times, no reasons have been released. Mazzara stayed with the show through filming and Gimple will take over for season 4.
Are you ready for the awesome trailer for Game of Thrones? Are you really ready? Check it out.
Sorry, I know that isn't what you wanted but look at it with a positive spin, we know when its going to air. I can't wait for March 31st, my second son is coming before that and I'm still debating on what I'm more excited for (If my wife reads this I'm kidding of course).
I will admit I am very far behind in Telltale's Walking Dead Series. I am only about half way through Episode 2. It's hard to play on my old iPod that lags and takes forever to load so I have been secretly waiting for the full retail release. Today we know that day is going to be Dec 4th. You can pick it up for $29.99 on 360 and PS3. But my main focus is the Collector's edition (Exclusive to Gamestop) which retails for $69.99 and includes that game and The Walking Dead Compendium Hardcover. That's issues 1-48 for those counting. It all comes in a fancy box with new artwork from Adlard too. They claim it is Pre-Order only so you better do just that. PS3 or 360 pre-order links.
The Walking Dead is a month away and I am excited, the way the last season ended made it hard to wait so long to watch it again. With the prison coming and a 16 episode season (I think) I can't wait for October to get here. If you know the comics you no doubt know the prison, it is the place where some of the most brutal moments in the comic happen. Getting to see Robert Kirkman walk around in his creation is awesome, check it out and see how excited the guy is.
We post all kinds of stuff around here including TV shows, we may talk about Walking Dead and Game of Thrones but one of the funniest shows around is Impractical Jokers. Impractical Jokers is a show that follows 4 life long friends around while pretty much try to embarrass each other. The guys, also known as The Tenderloins are easily the funniest thing on TV period, if you aren't watching it you are doing yourself a true disservice. This is a special kind of comedy, the kind that can only come from guys who are truly friends and know how to get to each other. I got to ask the guys a few questions but first I want you to watch a hilarious clip from the show, if you didn't watch before you will now.
Now that you watched that check out the interview with Sal, Murr, Joe, and Q.
There are very few shows that I get extremely excited about, Game of Thrones which is probably the best show on television, How I Met Your Mother because I think its awesome, and The Walking Dead. I have to wait for what seems like an eternity for Game of Thrones but The Walking Dead Starts next month. With it being so close you can taste it AMC has started releasing pictures and the poster for season 3. We all know whats coming, what are you looking forward to most?
Here's the poster, check out some screen shots below.
When the really surprising obvious news came out that Joss Whedon would be directing Avengers 2 everyone collectively said "cool". We all knew it was happening, what was surprising is that Whedon signed on for Avengers 2 and a yet to be named Marvel TV show. Well rumors flew around and around but now we have it, the show will be S.H.I.E.L.D. Yes Whedon will be making a S.H.I.E.L.D show which sounds absolutely awesome.
"ABC has ordered a pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D, a live-action series from The
Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon, Marvel TV and ABC Studios. The
project is based on Marvel's peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D
(which stands for Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics
Directorate) found in both the Marvel comic book and feature film
universes, including the blockbuster 2012 movie The Avengers, in which
S.H.I.E.L.D director Nick Fury, recruits Iron Man, Captain America, the
Hulk, and Thor to stop Thor's adoptive brother Loki from subjugating
S.H.I.E.L.D. will be written by Whedon, his bother Jed Whedon and
Maurissa Tancharoen. Joss Whedon also is set to direct the pilot,
schedule permitting. Production on the pilot, which marks the first
live-action Marvel TV project to get a green light, will start
immediately. Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Tancharoen executive produce
with Jeffrey Bell and Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb."
I immediately get that giddy feeling I used to get when I woke up early to watch Spider-Man and X-Men on Saturday morning. Who will get the cameo this week? Where will the story go this week? This has the potential to be amazing and show everyone some of the smaller characters, introduce Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and the recently recovered Daredevil to the public. I'm just wondering who the main character will be, obviously Agent Coulson is the logical choice but unfortunately he didn't make it through Avengers. But all comic fans know, if you die you don't really die, unless you are in the Walking Dead but that is another conversation. All I know is this sounds amazing and I want to watch it now, we will keep you updated on all the news involving the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate.
Those of you who have been coming to the site, yes all five of you know that I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead. The comic is one of the best books out there and the show is incredible to watch. You may be a fan of one or the other and that's great, but if you enjoy both you know the differences between the book and the show. Some people get upset that the show goes in different directions sometimes, I think it's great because it has me always guessing hat is going to happen next. Yes watching Dale die when he is one of my favorite characters is hard, but it was something completely unexpected and that's great. If you ever wondered why things happened differently in the show the answer is here, Robert Kirkman talks about why in this video. If you read the books watch it, if you watch the show watch, all I know is after you watch it you will be hoping October would get here sooner.
